Authority, It is a powerful word. It means that you are given a power to lead someone. It simply means that when you are authorized for such a thing that have to be done you can lead a group of people, you can make them follow you , and it if you have the authority you are the guarantee for this group.
If you have the authority you hace to become a thought leader on a specific topic and translating that knowledge in a meaningful way. Just like here in the Philippines , Our president has the authority for the whole Philippines and beyond it. Meaning It has a authority to us because we are beyond this archipelago. But upon law the President of the Philippines has bounderies because our president had only authority in Executive decisions. We have three branches of government in the Philippines , We have the Executive just like i said above, we have legislative branch where the authority of making laws is beyond the senate president , and the third one is Judiciary where the chief justice is the head and had the authority if the law will be stated.
You can also have an authority if you become a leader in any kind of group.
